I teach and research the history of science, technology, and medicine, while enjoying an ordinary life in València and Mexico City.

Trained in València, Oxford and Leeds, in physics, science education, history of medicine, history and philosophy of science, museology and scientific instrument studies, I subsequently worked in France, the US, Mexico, Colombia and Brazil.

My work was supported by Spanish, British, European and American fellowships. I was Resident Scholar at the Dibner Library, Fellow at the John W. Kluge Center, Marie Curie Fellow at the Université Paris Ouest, Visiting Scholar at Cinvestav, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology STS Program, the Institut d'Història de la Medicina i de la Ciència 'López Piñero', the Museu de Astronomia e Ciências Afins, the Colegio de México, and the Universidade Federal da Bahia, and Spencer Fellow of the (US) National Academy of Education.

As for teaching, I was successively a tutor at the University of Leeds and the University of Oxford, a lecturer at the Universitat de València, an assistant and associate professor at the Universidad del Rosario, and in the way have taught as an invited lecturer in a number of history of science and science education postgraduate programs in Europe and Latin America. While in the recent past I devoted a large amount of my time to teaching, I am currently mostly focused on research and curatorship, but also teach yearly some postgraduate courses in history of science, technology and medicine.

My work is comparative and cross-national, and cuts across disciplines such as history of science, technology and medicine, history of education, book history, international relations, visual studies and scientific instrument studies.
